Churg Strauss Syndrome
Churg Strauss Syndrome is a rare systemic autoimmune disease characterized
by inflammation of small to medium sized arteries, arterioles and venules. This inflammatory process of blood vessels is more commonly known as vasculitis.
Signs and Symptoms:
CSS is a progressive disease consisting of three distinct phases:
the allergic stage, the hypereosinophilic stage and the vasculitic stage. With early diagnosis and effective treatment, not
everyone diagnosed with Churg Strauss Syndrome experiences all three phases, or experiences them sequentially.
