Crohn's Disease
Crohn's disease is a chronic (ongoing) disorder that causes inflammation
of the digestive or gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Although it can involve any area of the GI tract from the mouth to the anus,
it most commonly affects the small intestine and/or colon.
Signs and Symptoms:
- Abdominal pain. The pain often is described as cramping and intermittent,
and the abdomen may be sore when touched. Abdominal pain may turn to a dull, constant ache as the condition progresses.
- Diarrhea
- Loss of appetite
- Fever
- Weight loss
- Anemia
